In this frame, the company is currently seeking a dynamic Technology Engineer Liquid and Solid Technologies to join our R&D Division and work with a passionate, detail-oriented, and international team to develop and maintain our projects.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
To execute R&D activities and R&D projects aimed at developing melamine, NPK, urea process, plant and equipment design;
To participate in the definition of R&D projects: the definition of the project team, the definition of the project targets, the preparation of the project schedule, and the plan of the project activities/deliverables /milestones;
To execute the R&D project activities according to the plan, including activities such as e.g., simulation of the process, design of the process and equipment, preparation of the equipment specifications and other technical documentation, and review of relevant patent documents;
To hold the kick-off, periodic status review, closeout, and other R&D project meetings;
To monitor and report the work carried out by external partners involved in R&D projects;
To participate in the assessment of the risk, and in the proposal of the validation of the new technologies as part of the R&D projects;
To participate in the validation of the new technologies (e.g. the planning of tests/experiments, or the design of test plants at lab or pilot scale);
To prepare the input needed for the release of the technologies from R&D at the end of the R&D project;
To share the information and know-how generated in the R&D project;
To screen ideas for potential new R&D projects;
To incorporate the discoveries in melamine, NPK, urea process, plant and equipment design as part of new technologies development;
To evaluate the benefits and risks of discoveries incorporated in melamine, NPK, urea process, and equipment design as part of new technologies development.
Job requirements
Education: Master's degree in Chemical Engineering focused on process development
Languages: Fluent written and spoken English
Skills: Good knowledge of software tools for plant simulation and equipment; Good team player, ability to work collaboratively with others, both inside and outside the company, self-motivated with strong organizing skills.
Experience: Preferably 2-4 years of work experience in an engineering company operating on chemical or petrochemical plants; Specific work experience in melamine/fertilizers will be considered as a preferred qualification.
