Committed to sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Casale SA seeks an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead initiatives and contribute to the success of our new office.
Job Purpose To oversee and manage process engineering design activities, ensuring the delivery of efficient, innovative, and high-quality technical solutions for complex projects. The role includes providing expert technical support, mentoring and developing junior process engineers, and driving advancements in department-specific technologies.
Main Job Tasks and Duties:
Verify and manage technical documentation preparation for the proposal and/or feasibility studies phases (H&M balance, Process Flow Diagrams etc.), to prepare the process guarantees, to evaluate correlated technical process risks, to provide technical information for the preparation of cost estimation and to evaluate process man-hours budget of the assigned projects;
Verify and manage the technical documentation preparation required in executive project stage (Technical Data Sheets and other process contractual documentation) according to the agreed technical requirements and time constraints fixed in the contract;
Support technical alignment of supplier’s offer, for the assigned projects/proposals;
Coordinate Process Engineers for complex project execution, addressing the technical project’s choices as well as providing support and verifying issued documentation and deadlines when required for projects where he is appointed as PPL;
Guarantee technical support to other Departments involved in the proposal and/or in executive stage;
Manage and participate to technical meeting with Clients or Vendors during proposal and/or executive stage;
Monitor and to ensure the compliance with timing and man-hours budget of the Department and to prepare the related reports for assigned projects where he is appointed as PPL;
Be responsible to adopt and follow Company quality procedures;
Support commissioning manager in the pre-commissioning, commissioning stages, start-up and test run of plants. When required he participates directly at site to these phases of the project;
Use the calculation tools available to the relevant Department.
Identify and propose technical development and innovation opportunities.
Job requirements
Education
Master's degree in Chemical Engineering focused on process development
Languages
Very fluent written and spoken English
Skills
Good knowledge of software tools for plant simulation and equipment;
Availability to travel for contacts, discussions with clients, site surveys, plants start-up and guarantee test runs;
Good team player, ability to build relationships inside and outside the company, self-motivated with strong communication skills.
Commercial skills
Experience
4-6 years of work experience in a similar position in an engineering or technology company operating in chemical or petrochemical plants;
Work experience in Syngas/Urea fertilizers will be considered as a preferred qualification.
