Senior HSED Engineer Temporary Contract

In this frame, the company is seeking a dynamic Senior HSED Engineer to join its HSED Design Section team and work with a passionate, detail-oriented, and international team.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Perform design activities and issue the deliverables assigned by the Chief HSED Engineer, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety/environment requirements, within the specific time, schedule and cost.
• Serve as a technical reference for the HSED discipline.
• Review contractual technical documentation and requirements.
• Prepare or check the deliverables issued by HSED discipline: Hazardous area classifications, HSED Plans, HSED Philosophies (e.g. Fire&Gas etc), dispersion studies and simulations with Phast (process hazard analysis software), P&ID’s and PFDs for firewater and firefighting systems, Fire Fighting equipment technical specifications & material requisitions, HAZOP/ HAZID/SIL close-out reports, Risk assessments, etc
• Prepare RfQ and technical evaluation of Subcontractors, Fire Fighting Vendors, IVB Representatives
• Assess the main documents produced by Third Party Consultants: FERA, QRA, Human Factors Engineering Studies
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID,SIL and Risk Assessment studies
• Support the Chief Engineer in coordinating engineering subcontractor activities.
• Ensure proper coordination with other Engineers. Perform/participate in the squad checks.
• Support Site Technical Office during construction/commissioning phases.
• Reviewing Tender Documentation and prepare clarification requests during the bid phase.
• Propose/Suggest optimization to reduce cost, minimize quantity or optimize project schedule.
• Ensure that the work is done with accuracy and without mistakes, reviewing all documentation before formal issue.
• Plan tasks to meet the given schedule.
• Provide support and guidance to junior colleagues

Education

Bachelor/Master’s degree in environmental or chemical Engineering

Languages

Italian Fluent, English Fluent

Software knowledge

Good practical experience in using the following software will be consider as a plus:

• PHAST
• FLARESIM
• PIPENET
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)

Skills

Deep knowledge of main HSED international codes, standards and best engineering practices (API, IEC, NFPA,etc)

Experience

Long-standing experience in HSED Engineering in Oil&Gas/Petrochemical/Energy projects (minimum 5 years)
