Job description
Casale SA, a leading company in the design and implementation of innovative plants for the production of green ammonia, ammonia, nitrates, phosphates, urea, methanol, melamine, and syngas, is expanding its footprint in the Indian market. With a strong commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Casale SA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to spearhead key initiatives and drive the success of our new office.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative projects (Basic Design, FEED, Equipment Supply) spanning green-ammonia, ammonia, nitrates, phosphates, urea, methanol, melamine, and syngas production.
- Manage and inspire project teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring on-schedule and within-budget completion.
- Act as the primary client liaison, maintaining robust communication and addressing concerns to ensure client satisfaction.
- Assist Commercial staff in crafting technical offers and exploring new business opportunities.
- Float requests for quotation (RFQ) to the market for proprietary/critical equipment supply to be purchased on the local market.
- Lead negotiations with potential suppliers and finalize purchase orders for required equipment in accordance with group strategies.
- Follow up the post ordering phase for local supplies and ensure on time delivery in accordance with the quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate the new structure into the global Casale organization.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
- Provide regular project status updates to the Global Head of Project Management and Procurement.
- Ensure all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with the Casale Quality and HSE System.

Languages
English Fluent
Software knowledge
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a strong command of the MS Office environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
- Optional: Familiarity with Primavera or similar software for project planning and scheduling would be advantageous.
Skills
- Effective prioritization skills, ensuring prompt attention to critical tasks.
- Proven experience in RFQs, negotiating purchase agreements, and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of effectively leading project teams.
- Conflict resolution skills for timely issue resolution and maintaining a positive working environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with regulations and standards related to chemical production projects in India.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Project Manager role, preferably in the design and implementation of chemical production plants in an international engineering company.
