Mechanical Engineer

With a strong commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Casale SA is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to spearhead key initiatives and drive the success of our new office in Mumbai.

The ideal candidate will join a team of experienced professionals based in India and worldwide, taking a key role in the mechanical engineering activities of complex industrial projects. The position involves the design, sizing, and specification of static equipment, as well as close coordination with internal departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure the delivery of reliable, efficient, and high-quality technical solutions.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform the required calculations for the design and sizing of the equipment

• Prepares technical specifications with the requirements of Static Equipment, their materials and construction.

• Provide technical consulting/input for static equipment, both to internal departments and to clients

• Prepare specifications for the procurement of equipment, materials, and services (Material Requisition, service requisition)

• Manage all the technical aspects of supplier orders (Coordination and Follow-Up)

• Evaluate the technical capacity of supplier during the qualification process.

• Assists in solving issues related to after-sales service concerning mechanical components

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited academic program.

Languages

Very fluent written and spoken English

Skills

• Good knowledge of software tools for equipment.

• Availability to travel for contacts, discussions with clients, site surveys, supervision activities;

• Good team player, ability to build relationships inside and outside the company, self-motivated with strong communication skills.

Experience

• 4-6 years of work experience in a similar position in an engineering or technology company operating in chemical or petrochemical plants.
