In this frame, the company is currently seeking a dynamic Expediter to work with a passionate, detail-oriented, and international team on developing and maintaining our projects.

The position is within the Procurement Department and reports to the Section Manager.

Main duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the main interface with suppliers regarding supply progress and delivery status

  • Ensure material delivery to be in accordance with Purchase Order terms by monitoring and controlling vendor progress

  • Perform desk expediting to monitor production and financial progress and identify potential risks impacting delivery dates

  • Collect Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) from suppliers

  • Review and analyze MPRs to assess actual progress, identify actual/potential delay and define realistic forecast delivery dates

  • Interface with Quality Inspectors to follow up and monitor supply progress

  • Regularly update the supply status report to inform the Project Manager and/or Procurement Coordinator on supply progress, delays, and critical issues

  • Coordinate with suppliers to define and implement recovery plans to maintain delivery schedules

  • Inform and update the Expediting Coordinator Manager and the QC & Expediting Section Manager on critical supply issues and propose corrective actions

  • Propose field expediting plans when required to ensure strict control of supplier progress

  • Perform field expediting activities and issue related expediting reports when necessary

  • Issue monthly General Expediting Reports highlighting critical Purchase Orders and corrective actions taken or planned

  • Coordinate with Logistics Operators to ensure timely collection and delivery of materials

  • Issue Inspection Release Notes identifying delivery delays caused by supplier fault and define the penalty to be applied

Job requirements

Education

Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is considered a plus 

Languages

Very fluent written and spoken English

Skills

  • Technical and manufacturing knowledge

  • Good knowledge of common software tools

  • Willingness to travel abroad

  • Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally

  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage priorities effectively

Experience

• 3 years of work experience in a similar position in an engineering company (preferable operating in chemical or petrochemical industry);
